Senior Originator – Banks, Asset Managers, Sovereign Institutions & Insurances (Nordic)

This hire is an important piece of the growth plan for Financial Institutions in the Nordics and part of the bank’s ambition to grow its revenues and market share in the Nordics.

Key requirements:

  • An existing network with Pension funds & asset managers in the Nordics, preferably complemented by insurance contacts as well.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Treasurer, CFO and C-Suite level at key clients and in the Nordic FIG industry.
  • Proficiency in English and at least Swedish or Danish is a must – preferably 2 or more Nordic languages.

This person will be a client facing lead origination for the Nordics and will oversee the overall relationship of the bank for a portfolio of existing and potentially new Nordics Pension Funds, Assets Managers & Insurers within the Advisory and Coverage team based in London.

They will be the senior contact globally both for the clients at the most senior levels, focusing on strategic and commercial idea origination by fostering content-driven and balance sheet light solutions (Capital, Liquidity, ALM) with an ambition to become the trusted partner and advisor to clients on asset & liability topics and deliver solutions across Global Markets and Investment Banking.

They will be able to manage client relationships at senior level and demonstrate a deep understanding of client’s strategic issues to help originate and increase the bank’s CIB’s revenues from this client base.

As the senior face of all business requests within the bank for these clients this person will present balance sheet asks, credit reviews, strategic plans to senior management working with business lines.

On the liability side, the focus will be on pitching financing (where relevant), ALM Advisory, Balance Sheet Solutions to help increase the DCM scope of work with these clients and increase the velocity of capital advisory and Liability Management mandates.

On the asset side, the driver will be to assist these clients in asset sales, portfolio sales, synthetic securitization in partnership with DCM / corporate ratings and advisory and colleagues across Investment Banking and Global Markets.
