Our asset management client is seeking a commercially minded and relationship-driven Sales Manager to take responsibility for managing and growing relationships with Strategic Partners (including Nationals, Networks, Consolidators, and Lifecos) while also acting as a key liaison with fund ratings agencies.
This role will play a pivotal part in positioning the firm as a trusted partner within the UK wealth and intermediary market, driving distribution growth, and ensuring continued recognition and strong ratings from external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partner Management

Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with Nationals, Networks, Consolidators, Lifecos, and other key strategic partners.

Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Partners & Ratings to identify commercial opportunities and drive distribution across the full product range.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the partner channel is well understood and supported with tailored solutions.
Ratings Agency Engagement

Act as a primary contact for leading ratings agencies covering funds and asset managers.

Coordinate submissions and performance insights, ensuring timely responses to ratings reviews.

Support internal teams to strengthen fund ratings and improve external recognition.
Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop account plans for strategic partners, identifying growth opportunities and competitive threats.

Collaborate with marketing, investment teams, and distribution colleagues to deliver effective messaging and campaigns.

Track market developments, competitor activity, and ratings outcomes to inform strategy.
Reporting & Analytics

Monitor performance, sales pipelines, and rating agency outcomes.

Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to guide sales and distribution strategy.
Candidate Profile

Proven experience in asset management sales, ideally with exposure to strategic partners or intermediary channels.

Understanding of ratings agencies, their methodologies, and reporting requirements.

Strong track record of building and managing long-term client relationships.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills and comfort working with ratings and market data.

Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
