Sales Manager – Northern UK, Asset Management

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth and strengthen client relationships across the Northern UK. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic, high-performing investment management environment and make a meaningful impact on business development, distribution strategy, and client engagement.

The Role

As Northern Sales Manager, you will:

  • Lead sales and business development activity across the region, identifying and securing new opportunities.

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with IFAs, wealth managers, and advisers.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to deliver targeted campaigns, events, and presentations.

  • Maintain a healthy pipeline while consistently delivering on sales targets and KPIs.

  • Provide insights into market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in line with FCA regulations and internal governance.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in asset management sales or distribution within the UK market.

  • A proven track record of achieving or surpassing regional sales targets.

  • Strong knowledge of the IFA and wealth management landscape in Northern UK (highly desirable).

  • A solid understanding of FCA regulation, platforms, and Consumer Duty.

  • Outstanding relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Commercial acumen, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
