Private Markets Research Strategist

London, Pension fund, full time, hybrid working

Reporting to the Chief Investment officer, Private Markets Research Strategist plays a crucial role in the Investment Research department, contributing to the development of private markets research and eventual portfolio, conducting in-depth market analysis, and providing valuable insights to support portfolio decisions.

  • Initially, taking ownership for Infrastructure & Real Estate Asset Classes.
  • Investigate innovative ways of structuring the portfolio.
  • Conduct comprehensive research across asset classes.
  • The role involves a blend of quantitative analysis, critical thinking, and strategic planning to inform investment recommendations and contribute to the organization’s overall success.
  • You will have proven experience in private markets investment research and/or private markets portfolio management – with knowledge of Real Estate & Infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with the details of common structures employed in efficient private markets investment such as segregated mandates, co-investments and joint ventures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect financial data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with investment research tools, databases, and financial software.
