HR & Recruitment Manager, M&A Advisory

London, Full or Part-time considered

An independent financial advisory and investment firm, focused on the European renewable energy and wider energy transition sectors, is seeking an experienced HR & Recruitment Manager to take ownership of its people strategy and recruitment function. This is a unique opportunity to join a purpose-driven firm in a standalone role, providing both strategic and hands-on support to a high-performing team.

You’ll play a pivotal role in attracting top talent, shaping early-career recruitment programmes, and evolving the firm’s HR infrastructure to support continued growth. The role offers autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a significant and visible impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Ownership

    • Manage end-to-end recruitment for mid-level and junior hires—including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

    • Build and maintain a streamlined applicant tracking system (ATS) to improve hiring efficiency.

    • Coordinate internal stakeholders during the interview and testing process.

    • Strengthen the firm’s presence at top universities and other early-career recruitment channels.

  • Junior Talent Programme

    • Overhaul and automate the firm’s intern and analyst recruitment programme.

    • Mentor junior staff and support their development and career progression.

    • Coordinate intern review processes and assess potential for full-time conversion.

  • HR Policy & Support

    • Maintain and enhance HR policies, documentation, and procedures in line with employment law and best practices.

    • Foster a people-first approach that supports both business goals and employee well-being.

    • Manage relationships with external recruiters and advise on hiring terms and market trends.

About You

  • Proven HR experience, ideally in financial services or a similar high-performance environment.

  • Confident operating autonomously in a standalone role.

  • Strong grasp of UK employment law and modern HR best practices.

  • Skilled in process improvement and implementation of HR tools and tech.

  • Organised, discreet, and proactive with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

What’s on Offer

  • Flexible working hours (full-time or part-time considered).

  • A mission-driven environment focused on the energy transition.

  • An opportunity to shape HR and recruitment strategy from the ground up.

If you’re passionate about people, recruitment, and making a difference in a growing, values-driven firm, we’d love to hear from you.
