An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Fixed Income to lead and shape a high-performing Fixed Income Markets function within a large, complex institutional investment environment.
Working closely with the Chief Investment Officer, you will be responsible for setting investor style and culture, driving performance, and ensuring the Fixed Income offering remains fit for purpose and aligned with partner fund objectives. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for portfolio oversight, team development, governance participation and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the Fixed Income investment offering and drive strong risk-adjusted returns after costs

Review and evolve the range of Fixed Income assets, including insourcing and outsourcing decisions

Oversee portfolio construction, investment selection and performance management

Build, lead and develop a high-performing Fixed Income Markets team

Embed responsible investment and ESG considerations into investment processes and culture

Act as a senior ambassador with partner funds, regulators and the wider investment community

Contribute to investment governance as a member of the Investment Committee and other senior forums

Ensure portfolios are managed within mandate, prospectus and risk framework requirements

Lead the development and launch of new pooled and segregated Fixed Income funds
About You

Significant senior-level experience in Fixed Income investment decision-making

Strong track record of insourcing and managing Fixed Income portfolios across multiple strategies

Demonstrated expertise in portfolio construction, risk management and performance evaluation

Proven people leader with experience building and managing high-performing teams

High professional integrity, judgement and credibility with stakeholders

Confident operating in collaborative, committee-based investment environments

Able to challenge constructively, manage complexity and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications

CFA or equivalent (or substantial relevant investment experience)

Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline preferred

Able to meet the requirements of an FCA approved / certified person
