2 x Architecture Lead roles – Market Place & Climate / Solutions & Governance, Banking

Our client is embarking on a new and exciting phase of their transformation agenda, and the bank’s enterprise data marketplace is a critical enabler to simplify, reduce risk and enable customer engagement and personalisation. This agenda is critical to driving simplification, enabling advanced and agile analytics and delivering exceptional experience to our customers.

As an Architect Lead, you will:

  • Be defining and communicating the current, resultant and target state architecture for your assigned scope.
  • Be making sure that the architecture links to, and is informed by, the bank’s overall strategy and architecture, and produces the architecture outcomes.
  • Strongly influence the development of business strategies within your function and across the bank, identifying transformational opportunities for our businesses and technology areas associated with both new and existing technologies.
  • Have a background in defining business and application architectures and roadmaps for complex enterprises.
  • Have excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to colleagues, up to senior leadership level, along with a good understanding of Agile methodologies with experience of working in an Agile team.
  • Manage and mentor a team of specialist and senior enterprise architects and fostering a collaborative, high performance culture that encourages innovation.

Architecture Lead for Market Place & Climate:

Define the intentional architecture for the bank’s data marketplace and shared data platforms, making sure that the current architecture being delivered by engineers best supports the enterprise and its long term strategy.

  • Experience as an enterprise architect with focus on shared data platforms and data marketplace
  • Strong knowledge of wider data architecture topics such as data modelling, data analysis, data integration, events, data storage and solution architecture
  • Experience and knowledge of AWS Data Stack, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Neo4J, Streamsets, EMR or Spark, Tableau, Snowflake and PowerBI
  • In-depth knowledge of metadata management architecture patterns and solutions
  • Knowledge of data lineage and data cataloguing
  • Knowledge of data mesh, domain driven design, data lake, data warehouse, ods, data mart, data fabric and data federation architecture patterns

Architecture Lead for Solutions & Governance:

A thought leader of data architecture governance and solutions for data intensive programmes for the bank, influencing business and technology strategies across the franchises and functions. Able to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to colleagues, up to senior leadership level.

  • Experience as an enterprise architect with focus on architecture governance
  • Experience in large enterprise or highly data intensive environments
  • Experience of developing, syndicating and communicating architecture designs, reviews and proposals for action
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of data, architecture and governance frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, TOGAF and ARCHIMATE
  • Experience and knowledge of data related regulations such as GDPR, CCPA,PCI DSS, BCBS 239 and similar
  • Strong knowledge of wider data and architecture topics such business architecture, data governance, data quality management, master data management and data controls management
  • Architecture knowledge of Tableau, AWS data services stack, Informatica and at least one supplier in data management, graph DBs, MDM and NoSQL Databases
