Senior Product Development Manager, UK Asset Manager

The role

  • Develop new products and roll out changes to existing products in accordance with governance and change processes. ensuring client needs considered
  • Coordinate and manage product initiatives relating to Luxembourg SICAVs, Irish ICVCs, UK unit trusts and OEICs and other products.  Projects may include fund launches, fund changes, fund registrations and fund maintenance and closures
  • Produce comprehensive product proposals for new products and product changes
  • Lead and brief in relevant market, product and competitor analysis to support proposals.  Present proposals for approval at product governance committees and fund boards
  • Project manage implementation of product initiatives working with investment, distribution, legal, compliance, risk and operations teams
  • Prepare and present reports on product development activity, keep abreast of competitor activity, industry and regulatory developments.


  • Experience in a senior product role managing product development and product management initiatives e.g fund launches, mergers and closures
  • Strong knowledge of asset management industry, its commercial drivers, the clients it serves and distribution channels employed
  • Strong understanding of pooled product structures – in particular UCITS structures domiciled in Luxembourg, Ireland and the UK
  • Understanding of how ESG is incorporated into investment propositions and impacts product design
  • Broad understanding of key functions of asset management business including portfolio management, marketing and sales, operations, legal, compliance and risk
  • Experience co-ordinating and reviewing mutual fund prospectuses and scheme documentation
  • Project management experience, including execution of complex projects and ability to run and manage working groups
